Community
Newsgroups
Data Access Worldwide provides an electronic area for community peer
support via our Internet newsgroups. We have a private newsgroup server
(news.dataaccess.com) hosted at our Miami, USA Corporate Headquarters on
a dedicated T1. Since we run our newsgroups as private newsgroups, you
will need to connect directly to our news server to read our groups. If
you are using a dedicated newsgroup reader, you should be able to set
the news server to "news.dataaccess.com" and then choose to "subscribe"
to newsgroups. We do not have public newsgroups so you won’t see our
groups in the standard usenet list (which is why you need to point to
our private news server rather than being able to find our groups using
your ISP’s news server).
The Newsgroup URL for discussions related
to Electos is:
news://news.dataaccess.com/dac-public-newsgroups.Electos
If you have not used newsgroups before, please read this Knowledge Base
article titled
"HOWTO: Using FreeAgent Newsreader to read DAC
Newsgroup".
